ABCNews messes up map of Israel & The Occupied Territories

Americans in general are fairly ignorant of the conflict between Israel & the Occupied Palestinian Territories and the News Media contributes to that ignorance…

Right now, you can check out a lovely [mislabeled] map of Israel & The Occupied Territories over at abcnews.com

As you can see, they’ve labeled the West Bank as Gaza and the Golan Heights as the West Bank. The fascinating thing? It looks like it has been up since May of 2007. Dear God.

An accurate map can be seen over at The Guardian

The Guardian does a much better job here, even showing all of the illegal Israeli settlements in the occupied territories (see all the blue triangles and squares that chop up the West Bank?)
