Yasmine tagged me, so...

I don’t really do many memes (I don’t know how to pronounce it either).
Three things that scare me:
1. If I stopped changing for the better (i.e. if i continued to not make use of every minute of my day)
2. My debts to people, for their time, effort, work that they have sacrified for me. And how I’ll pay them back.
3. The witnesses that are my hands, mouth, ears as they bear witness against me.
(Yeah, I’m sorry, that was kind of heavy)
Three people who make me laugh:
1. AzamHussain. He’s one of the wittiest guys I know.
2. My brother-in-law, NAK. Again, the British wit gets me everytime.
3. I’d actually have to say my parents. My mother, when she asked me if I was “huffing.” Or that time she told my sister, “unfortunately, we can’t take him back where we got him. My father, with his corny jokes. Last night, he started telling us about how he had a falling out with the Sultan of Brunei, and we came over on the Mayfair. (Not the Mayflower, dad?)
Three things I love:
1. The family, and how we seem to have finally come to a harmonious being.
2. Everything and anything. I love the feeling of dirt in the air during a ridiculously warm day in Cairo while sitting in a taxi while the seatbelt buckles burn my hands, and the leather seats are baking my backside. See? everything.
3. Dancing and being completely comfortable doing so.
Three things I hate:
1. The way we are pacified by consumerism. Unrestricted Capitalism. The gap between the rich and the poor.
2. Irrational fear that plagues our societies.
3. My inability to do achieve the things I want to achieve, RIGHT NOW. Hahaha
Three things I don’t understand:
1. How people can allow themselves to be force-fed fear, products, ignorance, and be completely pacified.
2. My own laziness; the hard work it takes to get over that laziness.
3. Why people like canteloupe.
Three things on my desk:
1. A doll from the Planet of The Apes (at work)
2. A label maker (At home)
3. 3 cherry-scented candles
Three things I’m doing right now:
1. Planning my Saturday, hoping that it will be as productive as I planned.
2. Craving rice or soy milk so I can eat this Kashi-brand organic cereal. Go ahead. Call me Earthy-Crunchy.
3. Wanting to make a new Flickr Album, because I haven’t done that in way too long!
Three things I want to do before I die:
1. Become an amazing public speaker.
2. Hitchhiking with her again.
3. (Stealing Yasmine’s answer): Something constructive, helpful, and selfless with my life.
Three things I can do:
1. Recite all of the 50 US States in Alphabetical Order.
2. Convince any stranger on the phone that I’m a woman by speaking normally.
3. Twist my pinky finger 180 degrees. clockwise.
Three things you should listen to:
1. Oh, whoops. Let’s see. This
2. Simon and Garfunkel
3. My niece telling you she loves you. It’ll make you melt.
Three things I’d like to learn:
1. More IT related stuff: Networks/Web Design/Databases
2. Video-editing/Film-making
3. Dancing like Patrick Swayze in the 80s
Three favorite foods:
1. Fuul from the streets of Cairo right after morning prayer
2. Mtabal with olive oil drizzled on top. Served with sweet tea.
3.
Three beverages I drink regularly:
1. Water because of the cooler at work
2. Ahmed Brand Imperial Blend tea.
3. OJ
Three TV shows/books I watched/read as a child:
1. The Wonder Years
2. Macgyver
3. You Can’t Do That On Television
Three people I would like to tag:
Tag yourselves and then comment, please :)

i was going to give you props for updating since the pani puri entry, but your “3 things you should listen to” are just Yasmine’s 3 things.. so sorry, you don’t get the props. BUT, good answers otherwise..

=) Re. Anjum’s comment, apparently I missed a technical glitch in here somewhere.
Anyvay, loved your answers, buddy boy! My responses were really flippant, for the most part, so it was rocking reading your much more well-thought-out version.
Your parents are freakin’ hilarious, and your dad’s story about the “Mayfair” made me laugh – and almost joke on my cereal (I bet my vanilla almond granola is better than your whateverwhateverorganic cereal).
Also, I demand more flickr photos. And photos with posts, because the one you used for this post is beautiful.
PS: Come back to visit soon, so you can show me your pinky-finger trick and also re-teach me how to punch people without injuring myself. hahaha
PPS: What’s wrong with cantaloupe, JERKFACE?
teri at 25 February 07 :: #
hey earthy-crunchy,
cantaloupe is good. what’s wrong with cantaloupe? (kashi is also good).
katiktuni at 25 February 07 :: #
Yay! Now I have a post topic. Don’t understand canteloupe? I think most people wouldn’t understand Kashi :). It looks like those little twigs that you find in the underbrush of a juniper tree…maybe if it was baked with honey and oatmeal and dark chocolate chips, maybe then it would be okay. I definitely have to agree with your #2 what you should listen to…

Your mom asked you if you were huffing? I’m not gonna lie, I laughed really hard when I read that. You don’t seem like the uhh, “huffing” type.
HM at 27 February 07 :: #
Yes. My mother asked me if I was huffing.
