3. Copycats

There are a number of different copycatters out there. Some of them are even infringing on my trademarks. Which is illegal, by the way. If the product doesn’t have the word “hijabman” on it, it isn’t mine.

One of them had the audacity to get up in my face at ISNA 2005:

“Fear Allah! Copyright is unislamic!” He said, nostrils flaring. He was also telling people that my trip to Damascus was a sham. He didn’t deny stealing the slogan either. A few minutes later, I explained the situation to a friend of mine, Azhar Usman. His response? “Fear Allah? Maybe he should “follow DA LAW!” He sure knows how to make a guy feel better.

Conclusion: Don’t buy cheap imitations (especially ones that are just ugly). And do not copy my slogans, please. Support Muslim artists, buy hijabman brand
