Web Site Specifications
What we’re really talking about here are the various aspects of this site that other site owners generally like to know about.
Publishing Engine
This site is now powered by Textpattern, “a lightweight, fast, and powerful content management system,” that will expand easily for any publishing need I may have.
Hosting
HijabMan’s Web host is Lunarpages, which is a recent change; a new Web host in parallel with my new Web site. From my experience so far, Lunarpages is extremely fast, friendly, and easy to work with on the admin side.
Credits
Must give credit where it’s due.
Site Design and Development
The HijabMan site was conceived and realized by Destry Wion. I highly recommend Mr. Wion for any Web design needs you have — honest, professional service every step of the way.
Photography
All photographs, including the “Graffiti Allah” used in the site’s banner, are my own and copyright Hijabman.
HijabMan Graphic
The graphic of HijabMan with balloons on his head was originally conceived and drawn by Desiree Magsombol, and converted to vector art by Asad Pervaiz.
All Along the Way
There were and are a ridiculous number of volunteers who have helped me with this site as well as my business. From helping me with my PHP woes to lifting boxes of shirts all over various convention centers, they (and I’m not joking) are the wind beneath my wings. I know, that was ugly, but it had to be said. I seriously love you guys. In no particular order: Destry Wion, Burhan & Nicole Syed, Huma, Mashood, & Musa Ali, Azhar Usman, Sarah Omar Wali, Aref Zahed, Imrana Soofi and her sons Ali & Shahbaz, Noreen Chand, John Waters aka Johnny Paani, Leena, Ahsen & Lailee Jaffer, Mohammed Azam Hussain & Family, Itrath Syed, Muniba Hassan, Nadia Noor, Desiree Magsombol, Yasmine Khan, Taha Salaam, Tasneem aka Baji, Ambreen Tariq, Alejandro Beutel, Arafat Razzaque, Yusuf Samara, Sarah Izfar, Ameer Kim, Gul Raza, Azum Ali, Hassan Malik, Hamzah Moin, Abdulrahman Maher, the entire population of Sweden, and I’m not done yet.
And then there are the heroes, the badasses, that provide me with examples to live up to. They may not know what they do for me, but it is much appreciated. Thank you to Azam Hussain, Asiya Hussain, Ahlam Said, Nafeesa Syeed, Musa Syeed, Esa Syeed, Iftekhar Hussain, Sofia Ali-Khan, Azhar Usman, Shahed & Zahed Amanullah, Yasmin Turk, Mariam Attia, Anjum Khalidi, Dawud Wharnsby, Sofia Baig, Amir Sulaiman, and I’m not done yet here either.
Appeasing curious minds. This page should be informative to other Website owners who (should) take interest in such things; my publishing system, Web host, and other interesting factoids are detailed here.
